Earning MATIC Tokens: Process and Considerations

To earn MATIC tokens, players must participate in Yabal concerts using their OG avatars. Yabal is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 and requires at least a GTX1060 GPU and 8 GB RAM. MATIC rewards depend on player engagement during the concert, with more active players receiving higher rewards. OG characters' unique traits, such as wing powers, influence engagement levels and subsequent rewards.

An algorithm calculates engagement rates, continually improving to offer the best rewards for active players. Engagement scores are displayed in the in-game HUD, enabling players to optimize their performance. Players can withdraw their MATIC balance by scanning a QR code in the launcher, which appears a few hours after the concert.

It is important to note that the withdrawal system is not like a traditional bank account. While withdrawals are possible as long as the contract is well-funded, there is no guarantee that MATIC can be withdrawn at a later time. If the contract runs out of funds, the remaining MATIC may be lost. As such, players are advised to withdraw their MATIC tokens promptly. This approach, while not ideal, is deemed the best solution to avoid turning Yabal into a banking entity.

Rationale Behind the Play-to-Earn Model

The play-to-earn model in Yabal aims to cultivate an active and engaged community. We are not seeking passive investors, but rather players who actively contribute to the platform's success. 1. Initially, 50% of the minting fees are reserved in a smart contract to pay OG players.

Comparison: Yabal Lifetime Pass NFT vs. OG Collection

The Yabal Lifetime Pass NFT was initially introduced as a wristband that granted users access to all live concerts within the platform. However, as the concept evolved, the team decided to enhance the offering by creating unique characters and incorporating a play-to-earn mechanism with MATIC rewards.

The OG Collection is a new smart contract that not only provides access to live concerts but also features distinctive characters and the opportunity to earn MATIC through active participation. As a result, the OG Collection offers a more immersive and rewarding experience for users.

To ensure fairness and continuity for early supporters, all existing holders of a Yabal Lifetime Pass will be migrated to the new OG Collection contract, granting them the same benefits and opportunities as new OG Collection holders.

Roadmap for OG Collection

The following milestones are planned for the development and enhancement of the OG Collection:

1. Improved cloth animation for jackets, providing a more realistic appearance.

Obtaining an OG

To acquire an OG from the Yabal OG Collection, you have three options:

1. Mint a frsh OG in Private Sale for 100 MATIC: If you are whitelisted for private sale you can mint your OG for 100 MATIC through the official minting website. Private sale will be from May 14 on. Please read how to get whitelisted for private sale below.

2. Mint a fresh OG in Public Sale for 140 MATIC: You can mint a brand new OG for 140 MATIC through the official minting website, which is accessible via a link in the Yabal Discord server or linked on our official website https://yabal.io. Follow the instructions on the site to complete the process and add the unique character to your collection.

3. Purchase from an existing holder: Alternatively, you can buy an OG from a current holder on OpenSea, provided they are willing to sell their character. Browse the available OGs, negotiate with the seller, and complete the transaction through the OpenSea platform to obtain your desired OG.

How to get whitelisted for private sale

To get an OG at a cheaper price, you can try to secure a spot on the whitelist. There are several ways to get your address added to this list:

1. Participate in raffles: Keep an eye on Yabal's social media channels and Discord server for announcements about raffles, where you can enter for a chance to be added to the whitelist.

2. Find a Yabal partner: Some Yabal partners may offer whitelist spots. Engage with the community and follow the announcements to identify partners who can help you get on the whitelist.

3. Join the Discord server and ask: Become an active member of the Yabal Discord server and politely request a whitelist spot. If you have a valid reason for not being able to pay the full price, the Yabal team may consider adding you to the list, as long as there are available spots.
